Reiki
Reiki
is a Japanese term meaning “spiritually guided life force energy.”
It is a spiritual practice used as a complementary therapy to
strengthen one’s own “life force energy” so to enhance the quality of life.
The technique is used to decrease stress, increase relaxation, and
induce a healing effect.
The benefits
of Reiki develop as a practitioner works to raise the “life energy force” of
another, most commonly through laying one's hands on them.
This energy force is available to everyone and is not dependent on
one’s intellectual or spiritual development.
Reiki is also not a religion nor does it have an order, but people
have found that using Reiki has helped them experience their religion
better on a spiritual level rather than just as an intellectual concept.
As a simple, natural, and safe means of spiritual healing, Reiki
works through the whole person creating many beneficial effects such as
feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.
Reiki cares for the body, emotions, mind and spirit and thus can easily
work with and compliment other medical or therapeutic techniques.
Allowing for the unseen “life force energy” to flow through us
positively correlates to our sense of life, which is why Reiki contributes
so well to self improvement and has been effective in helping nearly every
known illness and trouble.
