CranioSacral Therapy (CST)
Part of the Light Touch family of bodywork
modalities CranioSacral Therapy was developed by John E. Upledger of the
Upledger Institute. Dr. Upledger holds a degree in osteopathic medicine.
CranioSacral Therapy focuses on the CranioSacral system - consisting of membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord.
In a CranioSacral Therapy session a very delicate touch is applied to ease restrictions within the CranioSacral system. The benefits of CST work included an improved effect on the body's natural healing processes.
